The Part Of You That Thought Can Never Reach | Childlosshealing

June 15, 20265 min read

There are moments in life that seem to resist explanation.

You can think about them for years and still feel no closer to understanding them.

A loss.

A deep emotional wound.

The feeling of love for another human being.

The silence of a sunset.

The strange sense of peace that sometimes appears for no obvious reason.

Thought can circle around these experiences endlessly.

It can analyse them.

Interpret them.

Describe them.

Yet somehow the experience itself remains untouched.

And that points toward something important.

Not everything in life can be reached through thought.

In fact, some of the most important parts of life exist beyond it.

The Mind Is An Extraordinary Tool

The mind is incredibly useful.

It helps us organize information.

Solve practical problems.

Plan for the future.

Learn new skills.

Build careers.

Create technology.

Navigate daily life.

Without thought, much of modern life would not function.

The problem is not that we think.

The problem begins when thought quietly becomes the only way we know how to relate to ourselves.

Because then something subtle happens.

Every challenge becomes something to solve.

Every emotion becomes something to analyse.

Every experience becomes something to understand.

And eventually, even healing becomes another intellectual project.

Yet healing often begins somewhere beyond understanding alone.

I explored that deeper shift in The Rhythm Most People Spend Their Entire Life Missing.

But healing does not always respond to understanding.

Neither does peace.

Neither does presence.

Neither does love.

And this is where many people unknowingly become stuck.

Why Some Things Refuse To Be Solved

Think about a beautiful sunset.

You can study light.

Learn about colours.

Understand the science behind the atmosphere.

And yet none of that is the sunset.

The experience only exists when you stop thinking about it and actually see it.

The same is true for standing beside the ocean.

You can learn everything there is to know about waves.

Currents.

Tides.

Marine biology.

Yet none of that is the experience of standing there and feeling the vastness of it.

Life contains many experiences like this.

Experiences that can be described but never fully captured through description.

Experiences that can be understood intellectually but only known directly through experience.

This is also why happiness often remains elusive when we search for it through circumstances alone.

I explored that more deeply in Happiness Was Never Outside You.

And perhaps nowhere is this more important than in healing.

The Observer Most People Never Notice

Right now, thoughts are appearing inside your mind.

Some are useful.

Some are repetitive.

Some are connected to the past.

Some are concerned with the future.

And yet there is something fascinating about this.

You can see them.

You can notice them.

You can observe them.

Which raises an interesting question.

If you can observe a thought...

are you the thought?

Or are you the one observing it?

This question may seem simple.

But it changes everything.

Because hidden within it is the beginning of awareness.

Not awareness as a concept.

Awareness as a direct experience.

The realisation that there is a part of you capable of observing thought without becoming trapped inside it.

Awareness Is Not Another Thought

This is where awareness is often misunderstood.

People hear the word and imagine a philosophy.

A belief system.

A spiritual practice.

But awareness is not a belief.

It is the simple capacity to observe.

To notice.

To see clearly.

You do not create awareness.

It is already present.

In fact, it has been present your entire life.

It was present when you were a child.

Present during moments of happiness.

Present during moments of pain.

Present during every experience you have ever had.

Experiences changed.

Thoughts changed.

Emotions changed.

But awareness remained.

Quietly observing it all.

Why Awareness Reveals What The Ego Cannot See

The mind has a tendency to become entangled in its own stories.

"This should not have happened."

"I should be further along."

"My life should have been different."

And once a thought is believed completely, it becomes difficult to see anything beyond it.

This is where awareness becomes powerful.

Awareness steps outside the story.

Not to reject it.

Not to suppress it.

But to see it clearly.

And when something is seen clearly, a different relationship becomes possible.

Patterns become visible.

Resistance becomes visible.

Emotional contractions become visible.

The places where energy has become stuck become visible.

Not because awareness creates these things.

Because awareness illuminates them.

Like turning on a light in a dark room.

The furniture was already there.

Now you can see it.

Healing Begins From A Different Place

One of the biggest misunderstandings about healing is the belief that it happens through changing thoughts alone.

Thoughts matter.

Perspective matters.

But healing often begins somewhere deeper.

It begins when awareness starts revealing what has remained hidden beneath the surface.

The tension that was never fully processed.

The emotion that was never fully felt.

The resistance that has quietly remained active for years.

Awareness becomes the mirror.

And that mirror reflects exactly where attention is needed.

Not through judgment.

Not through criticism.

Through clarity.

And clarity changes everything.

Because what can be seen can finally be worked with.

The Part Of You That Remains Untouched

This may be one of the most important realisations a person can have.

Experiences leave marks.

Loss leaves marks.

Pain leaves marks.

Life affects all of us.

But awareness itself remains untouched.

Thoughts can become chaotic.

Emotions can become intense.

Circumstances can become difficult.

Yet awareness remains exactly as it is.

Watching.

Observing.

Present.

And this is why awareness becomes such a powerful foundation for healing.

Because it provides something stable from which to observe everything else.

A place that is not damaged.

A place that is not broken.

A place that is not defined by what happened.

The Quiet Truth

There is a part of you that thought can never reach.

Not because it is hidden.

Not because it is mystical.

But because it exists before thought.

It is the part that sees.

The part that notices.

The part that remains present while everything else changes.

And perhaps real healing begins the moment we stop trying to solve ourselves entirely through thought.

Perhaps it begins when we learn to observe.

To listen.

To become aware.

Because some of the most important truths in life cannot be understood from a distance.

They must be experienced directly.

And awareness is the doorway through which those experiences become possible.
